Our client, based in Welwyn Garden City have been trading for 6 years, having grown steadily since inception are looking to expand the team and are looking to recruit an Assistant Contracts Manager.
Specialising in delivering CAT A refurbishment projects up to £2M in value, primarily focused on the Office and Commercial / Industrial sector. Based in Hertfordshire, managing projects in and around London, with the occasional project a little further afield.
What is required?
They are looking to employ a young, Junior/Assistant Contracts Manager who will ideally have some sort of construction related qualification, possessing a confident personality, able to communicate professionally both written and verbally, with strong IT Skills.
Working very closely with the Construction Director, attending site visits, shadowing him to begin with, learning the role. You will then be expected to support the Site Managers running the projects, liaising closely with them, ensuring they have the necessary equipment ordered in a timely fashion for site setup, chasing sub-contractors, material orders, taking minutes from client progress meetings, typing up and ensuring these are distributed to the necessary parties involved in the project. Checking sub-contractors paperwork, involved in pre start meeting with the Site Manager, checking RAMS (Risk and Method statements), liaising with the Director on variations and pricing of variationand generally ensuring all is going smoothly.

Salary will be £25 -£28K, you will not be expected to drive anywhere except to the office as you will shadow and mentored by the Director.
