Based in North West London, our client are a small main contractor who specialise in the refurbishment of High End Residential apartments / properties in London, carting out work from decoration through to complete refurbishments.
They are looking to recruit a Project Manager to manage all construction activities on 2-3 live projects, responsibilities to include:
Material & Plant Purchasing
Labour & Subcontractor Organisation
Programming & Planning
Manage Cost Control – payments made by accounts department
Recording, Reporting and Administration
Public and Client relations
Health & Safety Procedures
Take overall responsibility for the construction project. Maintain and enhance relations with the client, professional team & subcontractors. Attend weekly client meetings and prepare progress reports for the client.
Manage the cost of construction within the budget and preparation of variations to agree with the client and contractors.
Manage the allocated site personnel and take time to develop them individually to make use of their strengths and address their weaknesses, building them into a loyal team. Aim to inspire them through example.
Take a close interest in the drawings and details provided to ensure that they are appropriate and practical to build, and use that knowledge to brief all parties involved in the project.
Verify that the project programme is achievable, then monitored and updated. Identify the critical path and key components.
