Our client are a small carpentry & joinery specialist contractor with over 5 years’ experience and committed service to the Construction Industry. Current T/O £5M, they are quickly gaining a very good reputation, with work coming from larger Specialist Sub Contractors and end user clients London and the South East and abroad. With a reputation and continued success is due to the strong ethical working relationships they have formed and two very driven Directors.
The business a looking for a Commercial person who can ensure that they are maximising profit on projects, that all variations are captured and priced correctly, someone who understands contracts to ensure that the business are complying to the contracts correctly and understand what the business is liable to undertake as per contract. Dealing with pay applications, liaising with the clients Surveyors and handling Final accounts
The role will require visiting the head office, one day a week, based in Colchester as short walk from the station and 45 mins out of Liverpool Street. The rest of the time you will be expected to work from home and visit the live projects in and around London.
Some sub contract experience previously would be beneficial, but not essential.
They are looking to engage, initially on a freelance basis with a view to being offered a permanent role.
