Our client are a small main contractor who have been trading for 4 years, growing steadily, undertaking Design & Build projects up to £10m in value. The South East-based company is currently looking to recruit a Project Manager to join the team. A specialist main contractor in new build and refurbishment of commercial and industrial buildings, they carry out projects for clients nationally.
Their current requirement is for a Project Manager to join the team. Either based in the home counties OR they will also consider suitably experienced candidates from other parts of the country who are prepared to stay away from home Monday to Friday as the client will supply accommodation and a generous Living away from home allowance.
The successful candidate MUST have experience delivering new build Design & Build commercial / industrial / retail / education or healthcare projects ideally with smaller main contractors.
The role of a Project Manager will involve setting and managing the drawing register, interrogating drawings, managing the design team, chairing design team meetings, programming using ASTA Power Projects, managing the team which will include a Site Engineer, Site Manager/s and QS. Reporting into a visiting Construction Director.
Initial project will be in Dartford, a £5M D & B new build industrial units.

The successful candidate will have the following:
Experience managing projects from design coordination through to client handover
Demonstrable experience using Asta Project or equivalent program software
Strong relationship management skills
The ability to use industry and project knowledge to improve profitability where possible
Experience working on steel frame new build projects.
Experience with groundworks
A strong work ethic
Must be able to drive
