Our client is a main contractor who specialiise in managing
Build, refurbishment and fit outs in the food retail sector. They are currently recruiting for a Contract
Manager on a permanent basis, to manage projects in the Kent, Surrey, Sussex
and London area. The successful
candidate would work alongside another Contracts manager and mange projects
from Predevelopment stage through to handover.
This is Very much a client facing role, the successful
candidate maybe required to work from the Midlands office on the odd occasions,
giving them a chance to meet with the Directors and run through any pressing
items and coordinate with other Contract Managers, Covid dependant.
Working closely with the client on Site acquisitions,
planning approvals, scoping projects up, programming the schemes with a Site Manager on each project reporting in.
Supporting the site manager in the delivery, attending site meetings and
backing up the Manage. Site set up, procurement through to delivery of
schemes. Likely to have 4 projects
ranging in value up to £2M in value in various stages of progress at any time.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple
projects concurrently, delivered fast track schemes. It is NOT essential to have food retail
experience, they will consider other backgrounds, such as Leisure, non-food
retail etc. It is essential to have
worked for a main contractor, carrying out the functions listed above
With an annual turnover of circa £100M, the company has a
strong pipeline of work for the next 2 years minimum, working closely
specifically with one Retailer.
£65K – 70K + package + bonuses
Will ideally possess a Black CSCS Card
Very important, the successful candidate will ONLY be
expected to work a 5-day week.
