My client is seeking a self-motivated, personable and diligent individual with a “can do” attitude, to work independently and as part of the team.
The successful candidate would need to be able to demonstrate previous experience in the role, ideally working within the interior Fit Out and Health sector who has a strong Mechanical background that can be involved in the pre-construction of projects. Candidates with experience working with main contractors in a similar role will be considered. The role will be based in their office in Reading, Berkshire.
The role will consist of surveying, reporting and providing information to the sub-contractors to help them tender against. You would also be required to problem solve and find solutions to issues to help with the smooth running of the project whilst helping value engineer projects with technical input. The projects, the successful candidate will be working on will value between £200k-£2m.
Requirements:
- Experience in the Mechanical trade.
- IT Literate
- Experience working in commercial fit out and hospital or laboratory would be desirable but not essential
- Proven skill in reading drawing and valuing engineering cost implication
- Experience working from the pre-construction stage all the way through to delivery
- To be strong technically and practically to provide the best package for the client
Salary & Package: £80-90k (depending on experience) plus travel expenses.
