They are currently seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

 

Job Description:

As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the costs associated with their construction projects. You will work closely with their project teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure that their projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, including materials, labour, and equipment costs
  • Review project drawings and specifications to identify and quantify project requirements
  • Obtain pricing information from suppliers and subcontractors and develop procurement strategies
  • Analyse project costs and make recommendations to optimise project efficiency and profitability
  • Prepare cost reports and project progress reports for management and clients
  • Evaluate and negotiate change orders, claims, and variations to contracts
  • Provide technical support and advice to project teams regarding cost-related issues
  • Manage project cash flow and prepare monthly valuations and payment applications
  • Manage project budgets and forecast project costs
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the construction industry
  • Knowledge of construction contracts and procurement strategies
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required
